The Ionia Volleyball B Team started the night a bit sluggish but rallied in the second and third set to give Portland a tough battle.  Ionia lost all three sets 11-25, 18-25 and 13-15.  The Bulldogs continue to improve in all areas of the game.  Defensively Ionia is moving with purpose and passing more balls.  Peyton Batista had an awesome foot pass in the first set and she led all Bulldogs passing four digs on defense.  Lynn Bailey, Aliyah Ross and Aaliyuh Swinehart had some solid passing for Ionia.  On offense, Liz Glaspie tallied two bump kills and Kaylee Rosloniec sent the ball back to Portland with a nice overhead set to extend a rally.  Harper Tumbleson returned a very tough serve and Liz had a great dig out of the net during the third set to excite the fans.  Brooke Fellows led all servers with six aces (five of them coming in the second set).  Ionia put up a tough battle tonight and came up just short.  The Bulldogs are 3-6 on the season and will travel to Belding on Wednesday.  Let's Go Bulldogs!
