The Ionia Volleyball B Team played their hearts out tonight!  The ladies went toe to toe with Waverly and emerged winners.  It took everything Ionia could muster to bring home this w.  The first set was incredible.  Liz Glaspie tallied two aces and Brooke Fellows one.  Lynn Bailey and Peyton Batista both dropped in one kill.  But it was the teamwork and defensive play that carried Ionia in this set.  The scoring went back and forth all set and  Ionia came up just short losing 26-27.  That loss did not stop the Bulldogs!  Lynn Bailey dominated on defense recording 4 digs and Liz, Brooke and Peyton continued to score aces.  Harper Tumbleson and Aaliyuh Swinehart both put their serves over and Aliyah Ross and Kaylee Rosloniec patrolled the net.  Ionia rallied and won the set 25-21.  The third and deciding set did not disappoint.  The scoring went back and forth and stayed close all throughout.  The Bulldogs continued their team play and rallied together to bring home a heart stopping win 17-16.  Way to go Bulldogs!  The team improves to 3-6 on the season and will play on Monday in the Dawg House against county rival Portland.  This is the final home match of the season.  Come out and support your team.  Let's go Bulldogs!
