LAKEWOOD MIDDLE SCHOOL: 1
The Ionia B Volleyball team opened their season with a solid victory over county rival Lakewood. Ionia won the first set 25-18.Danica Cummings and Alissa Castillo lead the Lady Dawgs with some awesome serving. Lakewood took the second set 11-25 and Ionia rallied in the third for a 15-11 win. Olivia White stepped up on defense with 10 passes and aggressive net play. Overall Ionia worked hard and played as a team to win their season opener. Ionia is 1-0 and will play at home on Monday. Go Dawgs!
