ST. JOHNS MIDDLE SCHOOL: 2
The Girls Volleyball B Team started their season tonight against St. Johns. The first set was back and forth as each team was working to find their rhythm. The set went down to the final serves as the Lady Dawgs dropped a very close opener 23-25. Ionia rallied in the second set and put up some strong serves. Ionia won 25-21. The match came down to the third and final set. Ionia struggled with the serve receive and lost 8-15. The Lady Dawgs showed a lot of grit in the first two sets and are looking forward to taking on Lansing Catholic at home on Wednesday. Go Dawgs!
