ST. JOHNS MIDDLE SCHOOL: 1
The Ionia Girls 7th Grade B Volleyball team traveled to St. Johns today. The Lady Dawgs came out serving strong behind the arms of Marley Piselli and Delilah Tubergen. Ionia won 25-21. The second game had Ionia in the lead 13-6 as Danica White and Jordyn Roth each served 4 straight points. It was a battle that ended with Ionia losing 24-26. The third game was dominated by Ionia behind the serving power of Rain Pinnow who served 9 straight points to help Ionia take an 11-2 lead. Ionia won the game 15-5 and the match 2 games to 1. Ionia is now 1-1 on the season and will play Waverly Middle School at home on Monday.
