Girls 7th Grade B Volleyball loses to St. Johns

The Girls 7th Grade B Team had a tough night against the St. Johns Red Wings. The first set went back and forth and came down to serves. St. Johns won the battle as Ionia lost the first set 22-25. The top server for the Lady Dawgs was Madeline Lemke with 7 service points. The second set was much of the same as Ionia struggled to return some challenging serves from St. Johns. Ionia lost 17-25. Ionia served well and played solid defense as they cruised to a 15-8 win in the third set. Josie Lee had some great saves for the Dawgs and Harleigh Kruger served well tallying 5 service points in the final set. Ionia is 2-5 on the season and travel to Portland on Monday.
