The Ionia 7th Grade B Volleyball Team faced a tough Portland team tonight at the Dawg House. The first two sets were a back and forth battle of serves with Ionia losing 22-25, 21-25. Ionia and Portland had some good rallies and Ionia served 10 aces as a team. The Lady Dawgs were led defensively by Madeline Lemke, 12 digs, and Bailey Hewitt, 10. Lena Cox was the leading serving with 7 service points. The Lady Dawgs lost the third set 7-15 and are now 2-3 on the season. Ionia plays at Home on Monday against DeWitt.
