Ionia B Team started their season with a tough match against the visiting Mason Bulldogs. Mason served strong and the Lady Dawgs struggled with serve recieve throughout the night. There were some good rallies and the young Lady Dawgs showed team spirit and never gave up. Ionia lost all 3 sets, 10-25, 15-25, 5-15.
The Ionia A Team opened their season with a strong first set winning 25-12. The Lady Dawgs served strong and worked well as a team. The second set was a tough back and forth battle but Ionia struggled with the trong Mason servers and lost 20-25. The tie breaker third set had Ionia facing Mason's top server and fell behind 0-8. The Lady Dawgs battled back but eventually lost 8-15. Ionia is 0-1 for the season and travels to Fowlerville on Monday.
