Ionia traveled to Hastings tonight and brought home the win 123-60.  Several girls swam events they had never swam before, and they raced hard.  Ionia had finishers in the top 3 of every event.  Taylor Browne and Nadya Strickling raced to the finish in their events and narrowly out-touched the competition.  Jadyn Gardner and Maddie Lemke both dropped more than 13 seconds in individual events.  Overall, there were 31 best times.  

Highlights of the meet included:

The medley relay of Katelyn Lamphere, Adah Drown, Kaylynn Doty and Amelia McGee took first.

Adah Drown, Lexi Heinlein and Maddie Lemke took 1, 2, 3 in the 200 yard freestyle.

Isabelle Robinson and Kaylynn Doty took 1st and 2nd int he 50 yard freestyle.

Evelyn Kleibusch took 2nd in diving.

Amelia McGee took first in the 100 yard butterfly.

Kennedy Batista, Lexi Heinlein and Mariya Berry finished 2, 3, and 4 in the 100 yard freestyle.

Isabelle Robison and Adah Drown took 1st and 2nd in the 500 yard freestyle.

The 200 free relay team of Kaylynn Doty, Mariya Berry, Kennedy Batista and Lexi Heinlein took first.

Katelyn Lamphere took 1st in the 100 yard backstroke

Maddie Lemke and Rain Pinnow went 1, 2 in the 100 yard breaststoke.

Ionia swept the final relay of the night.

Ionia travels to Mason on Saturday for the Mason Invitational.
