The Ionia Girls’ Cross Country team hosted their CAAC White rivals in the final league jamboree of the season on Thursday.  The Bulldogs finished 4th in this evening’s race, narrowly missing catching Charlotte for 3rd.  Ionia finished the league season in 4th place overall as well.  Senior Megan Lennemann was the top Bulldog finishing 5th in 20:55.  She was followed by Clara Deeren (11th in 22:35), Carleigh Thompson (13th in 22:55), Hannah Luttman (33rd in 26:40), and Angie Reyes (46th in a lifetime personal best time of 34:33).

The combination of this race and two previous jamborees were used to determine CAAC White All-League and All-League Honorable Mention honorees.  Earning All-League recognition were Megan Lennemann (4th overall), Clara Deeren (11th), and Carleigh Thompson (14th).  

Ionia will next compete in the MHSSA D2 regional at Grand Rapids South Christian on Saturday, October 29.
