The Ionia Girls’ Cross Country team competed in the CAAC White Jamboree #2 at Lakewood High School. A total of 7 teams and 75 girls participated in the race. Junior Carleigh Thompson led the team with a 20thplace finish with a season best time of 22:07.5. Earning season best times, freshmen Ava Benedict, 22nd overall, and Fiona Sizemore, 26th overall, ran 22:09.8 and 22:43.1 respectively. Dakota Badder is another freshman running a time of 28:14.1 earning her a 59th place finish. Junior Angie Reyes earned season best time of 34:49.4 placing 74th overall. Earning a season best time of 35:25.1, Jaelyn Reyes placed 75th overall.
The Bulldogs’ next meet is on Saturday, October 12th, at Greater Lansing Cross Country Championship.
