The Ionia Girls’ Cross Country team participated in The Last Chance Meet, which featured a total of six teams and 51 girls. The team finished in 5th place overall.
Junior Ava Benedict led the team, finishing 9th with a time of 22:15.3. Carleigh Thompson followed closely behind in 12th place, finishing with a time of 22:28.2. Freshman Fiona Sizemore placed 14th overall, completing the race in 22:35.5.
Rounding out the team were Dakota Badder, who finished 44th with a time of 29:01.8, and Angie Reyes, who placed 48th with a time of 32:54.9. Emily Anderson crossed the finish line in 49th place, with a time of 33:43.2.
