The Ionia Girls’ Cross Country team competed in the Shepherd BlueJay Invitational at Shepherd High School. 29 teams and 89 girls participated in the race. At this meet, the top 50 runners in the race and Ionia High School medaled 1 girl. Freshman Ava Benedict led the team and placed 10th with a time of 24:03.58. Another freshman, Dakota Badder, finished 82nd with a time of 34:13.64. Sisters, Angie and Jaelyn Reyes ran a time of 35:41.11 and 37:23.67 finishing 83rd and 86th.
The Bulldogs’ next meet is on Tuesday, October 1st, at the CAAC White Jamboree #2.
