Ionia Cross Country competed in the second league jamboree at home on Tuesday, October 6th. Lansing Catholic girls won the meet with 19 points. Ionia came in second with 50 points. The Ionia girls were led by Maddie Hanulcik, who came in 4th place with a season record of 20:55. Clara Deeren finished in 6th place with a time of 21:30, Jordyn Diebel finished with a time of 22:55 to come in 11th place, Kayla King came in 13th with a time of 23:01, Avery Roundtree ran 23:19 to come in 16th place, Tejia Castle ran 24:46 to come in 24th place and Tempyst Aikens finished in 33rd place with a time of 27:36. After the meet, Ionia honored their senior runners at their final home meet. Avery Roundtree and Breann Wandell are the two senior girls for the 2020 Cross Country Season. The next meet for the Ionia girls will be Saturday at the Greater Lansing Invitational.
