The Ionia girls cross country team competed in Allendale on Saturday, October 3, 2020. Ionia girls finished in 5th place with 104 points. Brownstone Woodhaven won with 26 points. Other local teams competing included Belding in 4th place with 84 points and Saranac in 6th place with 116 points. Ionia girls who ran in the race included: Maddie Hanulcik (11th place at 20:56, which was a season record), Clara Deeren (21:36 in 16th place), Jordyn Dieble (22:31 in 24th place), Kayla King (22:40 in 25th place, personal record), Avery Roundtree (23:06 in 28th place), and Tejia Castle (25:00 in 43rd place). Ionia’s next meet is a home league meet on Tuesday.
