The Ionia Girls Cross Country team competed in DeWitt on Friday afternoon in a quad meet against Lansing Catholic, Belding and Shepherd.  Ionia girls finished in fourth place with 94 points.  Shepherd was first with 30 points. Lansing Catholic came in second with 42 points and Belding was in third with 75 points.  Ionia girls continue to improve with lots of season records and one new personal record time.  Ionia girls who competed were Maddie Hanulcik (12 place with a SR of 20:58), Clara Deeren (14th place with a SR of 21:11), Jordyn Diebel (21st place with a SR time of 22:25), Avery Roundtree (23rd place with a SR of 22:48), Kayla King (24th place with a new PR of 23:16), Teija Castle (37th place with a SR of 25:09), Breann Wandell (38th place at 26:02), and Tempyst Aikens (43rd place with a SR of 27:20). Ionia Cross Country will compete at the same location on Tuesday, September 22 in their first league jamboree of the season.
