The IMS girls cross country team brought home a 1st place trophy today, beating 6 other teams with a score of 67 points.  Medals were awarded to the top 20 finishers and Ionia had 4 runners bring home some hardware.  Jovie Overkamp led the Bulldogs, finishing in 3rd place with a PR of 13:40, with Winne Udell bringing in 4th place with a 13:58.  Aubrey Perez earned 8th place with a 14:34, while Maci Esparza set a new PR at 14:55, finishing in 15th place.  Sophia Brown earned points the Bulldogs, finishing in 41st place with a 16:49. 

Ionia had some really great runs tonight with Vesper Nervig  finishing in 48th with a 17:15 and Rylee Anes in 59th with an 18:12.  Reegan Haynes earned 68th place with a 19:00, while Krisalynn Cooper came in 70th with a 19:21.  Charlotte Whitney finished strong in 72nd place with a 19:45 and Arleigha Bailiff came in 86th with a 27:12.

The Bulldogs will finish the season on Monday, October 14 at the Greater Lansing Invite in DeWitt.
