The IMS girls cross country team traveled to Shepherd on Saturday, racing in the Blue Jay Invite.  Out of 19 teams, Ionia finished in 10th place, with 6 new PR's.  Jovie Overkamp and Winne Udell represented the Bulldogs well, finishing in the top 40 and bringing home medals.  Out of 258 runners, here is how the Bulldogs performed: 

Jovie Overkamp finished in 19th place, improving her PR to 13:41. 

Winne Udell finished in 24th place with a PR of 13:57.

Aubrey Perez fought hard and came in 48th with a time of 14:38.

Maci Esparza had a strong performance, finishing in 82nd with a PR of 15:24

Sophia Brown (118th) continues to improve, setting at PR of 16:12.

Vesper Nervig (121st) had an amazing run, improving her PR by nearly 2 minutes at 16:17.

Charlotte Whitney had a great run with a time of 18:44 and finishing 189th. 

Olivia Isaac continues to impress her team, dropping her time by another 2 minutes, finishing at 23:10.

Arleigha Bailiff showed true grit, fighting for her PR of 24:10. 

The Bulldogs will next travel to St. Johns on Monday, September 30th.  Boys will run at 5:00, Girls at 5:30.
