The IMS boys cross country team competed in Saranac today, finishing in 4th place out of 6 teams. Medals were awarded to the top 20 finishers and Ionia had 3 runners bring home some hardware. Orion Nervig finished in 11th place with a PR of 13:22.5 and Aaron Lepley was right on his heels in 12th place with 13:22.6. Jacob Shattuck also earned a medal by coming in 19th place with a 13:55.
Ionia had some really great runs tonight with Taiytum McCarty finishing in 26th with a 14:40 and Jaxson Wittenbach in 38th with 15:42. Wyatt Johnson earned 43rd place with a 16:13, while Bentley Decker came in 47th with a 16:33. Karim Vazquez finished in 49th with a 16:38.
The Bulldogs will finish the season on Monday, October 14 at the Greater Lansing Invite in DeWitt.
