The IMS boys cross country team traveled to Shepherd on Saturday to compete at the Blue Jay Invite.  Out of 17 teams, Ionia finished in 15th place, with 6 of our boys setting PR's.  Out of 281 runners, here's how the Bulldogs performed:

Jacob Shattuck shined for the Bulldogs, finishing in 70th place and improving his PR by 45 seconds (13:16).  

Aaron Lepley had an impressive run, finishing 76th with a PR of 13:22.

Taiytum McCarty continues to improve, setting another PR at 14:02 and finishing 114th.

Karim Vazquez (156th) had an incredible day, improving his PR by nearly 2 minutes, with a 15:06.

Orion Nervig fought hard, finishing 157th at 15:06.

Jaxson Wittenbach (172nd) was phenomenal, cutting 52 seconds off his PR with a 15:25.

Bentley Decker (197th) showed true grit, improving his time by 55 seconds, finishing at 16:17.

The Bulldogs will next travel to St. Johns on Monday, September 30th. Boys will run at 5:00, Girls at 5:30.
