The IMS boys cross county team hosted their last home meet of the season, inviting St. Johns, Waverly, Portland, and Charlotte to compete.  Ionia finished in 2nd place with 34 points, falling just short to St. Johns with 28.  Waverly finished in 3rd with 79 and Portland in 4th with 83.

Some highlights on the night included:

*Taiytum McCarty crushing his old PR by 1:08, setting a new time of 14:14

*Jacob Shattuck setting a new PR at 14:03, improving by one minute

*Jaxson Wittenbach earning points for the team with a new PR of 16:17, one minute faster than his old record

*Aaron Lepley finishing in 2nd place with a PR of 13:35

*Orion Nervig finishing in 3rd place with his PR of 13:37

*Bentley Decker with a new season record of 17:12

*Karim Vazquez sprinting hard to the finish line with a 16:55

The Bulldogs will head to the Shepherd Bluejay Invite this Saturday, September 28th.
