The IMS boys cross country team traveled to DeWitt on Monday night to compete in the Greater Lansing Junior CC Championship. This meet consists of two separate races, one that includes the top 10 runners from each team, followed by an Open Boys Run.
In the Top 10 boys race Ionia finished in 18th place out of 26 teams. Liam Thelen paced the way for the Bulldogs, finishing in 13th place (11:35.0 PR). Liam has been working hard all season to get under 12 minutes and he completed that goal tonight. He was followed by Cooper Highlen (99-13:17.5 PR), Bryce Schattuck (126-13:40.1 PR), Xander Towery (144 -13:56.7 PR).
In the Open Boys race Jacob Shattuck had an outstanding run placing 89th 15:14.5 (PR). Jude Calley was not far behind coming in 152 (16:33.1 – PR). Bentley Decker 162 (16:48.3 PR).
