The Ionia Middle School boys cross country team hosted Portland Monday night, falling short by just one point. The Bulldogs scored 30 points to Portland's 29. Scoring points for the Bulldogs included: Wolton Sandborn (4) 14:24, Evan Yenchar (5) 14:43, Charley Frost (6) 14:47, Elijah Peterson (7) 15:23, and Adam Kramer (8) 15:40.
Other stellar performances by the Bulldogs included: Henry Castle (9) 15:43, Jaxxon Thelen (10) 15:45, Nolan Hart (11) 15:53, Bradyn Diebel (12) 16:20, Dalles Bailiff (13) 16:23PR, Cadence Denis-Griffith (14) 17:05, Tayvon Schwab (16) 17:33, and Cole Petersen (17) 18:25.
