CHARLOTTE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL: 60
Ionia traveled to Charlotte tonight and won 119-60. It was Charlotte's Senior Night to recognize their eight seniors, and in a thoughtful gesture, Charlotte also recognized Ionia seniors. In spite of being in the heart of hard workouts, sore muscles and tired bodies, Ionia swimmers still had 31 best times across their events. Taylor Browne, Jadyn Gardner and Rain Pinnow had best times in every event they swam. Isy Vasquez dropped 13 seconds in the 100 yard backstroke. Rain Pinnow, Arcade Parham, Jadyn Gardner, Kaylynn Doty and Tessa Nash all dropped more than 5 seconds in their events. Ionia swimmers took first in 10 out of 12 events.
Ionia will host St. Johns in the final dual meet of the season on Tuesday, October 22 at 6 p.m. Come out to support our six seniors as we recognize their contribution to Ionia swimming over the years.
