Ionia won at home 96-65 vs Eaton Rapids.  It was another great night of racing in the pool  There were several very close races!  Mariya Berry took 3rd by under a second.  Isy Vasquez out-touched her opponent in the 100 yard freestyle by less than half a second.  Ella Udell stretched to the finish in 100 breaststroke to out-touch the opponent by less than a second.  Several girls tried races they haven't competed in before, and there were 30 more personal best times.  The team is working very hard to be 1% better every day.  The focus for this meet was longer pushes off their turns, and we definitely saw progress being made.

Highlights of the meet included:

The relay team of  Adah Drown, Lexi Heinlein, Kaylynn Doty, and Jadyn Gardner took first in the medley relay.

Amelia McGee took first in the 200 yard individual medley

Ella Udell and Jadyn Gardner went 1, 2 in the 50 yard freestyle.

Adah Drown, Isabelle Robinson and Kaylynn Doty took 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the 100 yard butterfly.

Katelyn Lamphere and Lena Cox took first and second in the 100 yard freestyle.

Ionia will host Waverly at home next week on October 10.
