PORTLAND HIGH SCHOOL: 39
Ionia Boys JV basketball team was defeated by Portland by a score of 33-39 on Tuesday night. Ionia trailed most of the way tonight, with a low scoring effort, we just couldn't find the bottom of the net.
The game was a struggle offensively all game but Caiden Sayers and Nolan Hart played exceptional on the defensive end and Riley Yokom played well in his minutes tonight. Wolton Sandborn, Ethan Wenzel, Dawson Leland and Mason Braman all scored 9 points.
Ionia JV will take on Lansing Eastern next week Tuesday with a 5:30 pm tip-off.
