Ionia boys jv basketball team defeated Wyoming Godfree-Lee by a score of 53-43 on Tuesday night.
It was a back and forth game with the score remaining close at halftime. Ionia would have a solid third quarter, scoring 19 points, to be up 11 entering the 4th. We held strong for the rest of the game and executed down the stretch. Dawson Leland took advantage of mismatches inside all night and finished with 15 points. Mason Braman would score 3 more 3 pointers to 11 total points, and Nolan Hart would score 9 points .
Ionia jv improves to 11-4 and will travel to Portland thursday night for a 7:30 Jv tip-off.
