Ionia Jv boys basketball defeated Hastings in overtime by a score of 57-52. There was no shortage of excitement for the second leg of the triple header on Tuesday night. 

Ionia found themselves down late in the fourth quarter and was able to climb out of the deficit and send the game to overtime with a big steal and layup by Wolton Sandborn. Overtime was no different for the Bulldogs. Ionia found themselves down 8 with less than 90 seconds left. Mason Braman dialed it in and hit back...to back...to back three pointers and Ionia would somehow find themselves with the lead with 10 seconds left. We would seal the game with some free throws.

Mason Braman had a huge game, scoring 21 points including 6 three pointers. Wolton Sandborn broke out for a huge double double with 18 points and over 10 rebounds. Carter Ralson and Ethan Wenzel would also give big minutes and make big plays down the stretch.

Ionia Jv improves to 5-2, and will be off for Chistmas break. Next game will be at Olivet on January 4, with 5:30 tip.
