Ionia boys jv basketball team traveled to Eaton Rapids and came away with a win by a score of 63-36 on Thursday night.

A big first half had Ionia out to a 20 point lead at halftime. Eaton Rapids would close the game within 8 to end the third quarter, but Ionia turned up the defense and held them to 3 points in the fourth quarter to seal the win.

Dawson Leland had another big game with 17 points, Mason Braman chipped in 13 points. Mason Clark scored 6 with some timely buckets, and Wolton Sandborn’s defense led the charge while adding 9 points of his own.

Ionia jv improves to 3-1 and will travel St John’s Tuesday night for a 5:30 pm jv tip-off
