Sandborn Makes Big Defensive Plays to Secure Win

The Ionia jv boys basketball team defeated Lansing Eastern by a score of 47-45. Down 3 at half, we tightened some things up and were able to execute late in the 4th quarter.

It was a very balanced attack for us tonight. Carter Starks and Brent Starks both scored 11, while Wyatt Erridge and Colt Piercefield both scored 8. Wolton Sandborn forced two huge turnovers with under a minute left in the game to seal it.

The Ionia boys jv improve to 15-0 on the season and stand at 7-0 in the conference. We will travel to Portland on Thursday for a 7:00 jv tip-off.
