The Ionia Boys JV basketball team defeated Mason tonight by a score of 53-41. Ionia got out to a quick start, holding Mason to only 5 points in the first quarter and then remained steady throughout the game.

Colt Piercefield carved up Mason's zone defense by scoring 22 points, while Brent Starks scored 11. All around it was a really good team effort on the defensive end, led by Braylon Granger, Wyatt Erridge, and Carter Starks.

Ionia Jv inproves to 11-0 at the halfway point in the season. We will take on Lansing Catholic Friday night with a 5:30 Jv tip-off.
