The Ionia Jv boys basketball team found themselves in a battle tonight. Down 1 at half, the Bulldogs tightened things up defensively and held them to just 22 points in the second half. Ionia dialed up the press and came away with a 70-56 victory.

Braylon Granger hit a huge 3-pointer and sunk 2 free throws late in the four to bring the win home. Braylon finished with 11 points. Wolton Sandborn showed GRIT on the defensive end turning steals into layups and finishing with 13 points. Brent Starks added 13 of his own, while Colt Piercefield scored 17 including some big buckets in the 4th quarter.

The Ionia boys jv improves to 2-0, and 1-0 in the conference. We will take on Lakewood Monday night at 7.
