The Ionia boys bowling team traveled back to Spare Time today to take on the Trojans of East Lansing coming away with a 27-3 win. 

In team match #1 Ionia totaled 802 pins to East Lansing’s 751 pins, the Bulldogs were led by TJ Cox’s 195 followed by Gavin Flanner’s 185.  In match #2 Ionia totaled 931 pins to East Lansing’s 807 pins, the Bulldogs were again led by Mason Hodge’s 239 followed by TJ Cox’s 221.  The Bulldog’s won the series 1733 to 1558.

In the 2 Bakers matches the Bulldogs outscored the Trojans team 407 to 284.

• Match #2 Ionia 179 East Lansing 128

The JV won 23.5 to 6.5 against East Lansing.  Leading the way for the Bulldogs were Vincent Flohr with a 144, Seth Wandel with a 131, and Riley McClintock with a 121.

The varsity boys are now 9-2 overall and 7-2 in the league.  They will travel to Belding on Tuesday for a non-conference match against the Black Knights.
