The Ionia boys bowling team rebounded well after suffering their first loss of the season on Tuesday with a 17-13 victory on the road over county rival Lakewood.

In team match #1 Ionia totaled 876 pins toLakewood’s 725 pins, the Bulldogs were led by Trevor Hodges’ 193 followed by Ryan Perry’s 191.  In match #2 Ionia totaled 798 pins to Lakewood’s 821 pins, the Bulldogs were led by Trevor Hodges’ 180 followed by Miles Perrien’s 167.  The Bulldog’s won the series 1674 to 1546.

In the 2 Bakers matches the Bulldogs were outscored by the Vikings team 357 to 336.

• Match #1 Ionia 196 Lakewood 177

• Match #2 Ionia 140 Lakewood 180

In the JV match the Bulldogs won 26-4 over the Vikings of Lakewood.  The JV was led by Steven Flohr’s 158 and Logan Miller’s 140.

The varsity boys improved to 4-1 overall and 4-1 in the league.  The boys will be back in action next week on Tuesday when they travel to Char-Lanes to take on the Eagles of Olivet.
