The Ionia boys bowling fell 16-14 to the Panthers of DeWitt in a showdown that will most likely determine the league championship last night at Royal Scot.

In team match #1 Ionia totaled 854 pins to DeWitt’s 891 pins, the Bulldogs were led by Brett Petersen’s 200 followed by Sam Meyer’s.  In match #2 Ionia totaled 943 pins to DeWitt’s 876 pins, the Bulldogs were again led by Brett Petersen’s 227 followed by TJ Cox’s 203.  The Bulldog’s won the series 1797 to 1767

In the 2 Bakers matches the Bulldogs were outscored by the Panthers 376 to 275.

In JV action Ionia defeated DeWitt 16-14 and were led by Seth Wandel’s 172, Riley McClintock’s 155, and Taggert Loucks’ 137.

The varsity boys are now 7-2 overall and 5-2 in the league.  The Bulldogs will compete in the CAAC Singles Tournament this Sunday at Royal Scot.
