The Ionia boys bowling team opened the season with a win against the Saxons of Hastings 22-8 on the road at Hastings Bowl.
In team match #1 Ionia totaled 798 pins to Hasting’s 853 pins, the Bulldogs were led by Brett Petersen’s 201 followed by Mason Hodge’s 179. In match #2 Ionia totaled 842 pins to Hasting’s 726 pins, the Bulldogs were led by Mason Hodges 214 followed by Brett Petersen’s 179. The Bulldog’s won the series 1640 to 1579.
In the 2 Bakers matches the Bulldogs were outscored by the Saxons 348-307.
