The IMS girls cross country team ran in the Olivet Jamboree tonight, finishing in 3rd place with 58 points.  It was a close meet as the Bulldogs were only a few points behind 1st place Olivet (37) and 2nd place Okemos (48).  

Jovie Overkamp led the way for the Bulldogs, finishing in 4th place with a season record time of 14:40 (nearly a minute and a half faster than last week's time).  Right behind her was Winne Udell finishing in 7th place with a season record time of 14:54, and Aubrey Perez earned 9th place with her new PR time of 15:12.  Maci Esparza earned points for the Bulldogs as well, placing 15th at 16:14. Sophia Brown rounded out the scoring in 27th place with a time of 18:14.  Vesper Nervig (34th) 18:55, Reegan Haynes (35th) 19:14.07, and Krisalynn Cooper (36th) 19:14.80 all did an amazing job tonight, finishing as a strong pack. Charlotte Whitney beat her time from last week by over 2 minutes tonight, finishing in 47th place at 20:32.  Rylee Anes also had a new PR time of 20:42, earning her 48th place.  Arleigha Bailiff (66) fought hard the entire race, earning her a PR time of 24:52.  Olivia Isaac (70) worked hard and finished the race with a time of 28:19.  Nice work ladies!

Ionia will travel to Holt next Monday, September 16th to participate in the jamboree.  Boys start at 5:00 pm, Girls at 5:30 pm.
