The IMS girls cross country team traveled to DeWitt on Monday night to compete in the Greater Lansing Junior CC Championship. This meet consists of two separate races, one that includes the top 10 runners from each team, followed by an Open Girls Run.
In the Top 10 girls race Ionia finished in 12th place out of 25 teams. Fionia Sizemore paced the way for the Bulldogs, finishing in 54th place (13:34.7 PR). She was followed by Jovie Overkamp (56th-13:45.1), Khloe Mathis (111th-15:00.7 PR), MacAnna Esparza (113th-15:01.3 PR), Lydia French (201-18:46.6 PR), and Vesper Nervig (202 – 18.48.2 PR).
In the Open Girls race Reegan Haynes had an outstanding run placing 68th 16:58.1 (PR). Charlotte Whitney was not far behind coming in 106 (18:43.8 – PR). Emma Bledsoe 130 (20:02.8 PR),
