Ionia Middle School girls’ team participated in the Saranac Color Run on Tuesday night at Saranac Community Schools. Lansing Area Catholic won the competition with 22 points, followed by Ionia taken 2nd with 118, Perry 128, St Patrick (Portland) 149, Laingsburg 150, Fulton 150, Central Montcalm 155, Saranac 155, Portland 170, and Libertas Christian with 211.
Girls finishing in the top 20 received a medal. Fiona Sizemore finished in 14th place (14:49.8), Khloe Mathis finished in 19th place (15:06.1).
Other strong performances included Jovie Overkamp (27th 15:46.9), Evelyn Kleibusch, (43rd 17:26.7), Aubrie Perez (47th 17:47.0), Evalyn Huested (48th 18:07.3), and Vesper Nervig (49th 18:08.4) all setting new PR for the season.
The Bulldogs will finish their season next Monday, October 17th at the Jr. Greater Lansing Cross Country Championship at Dewitt.
