The Ionia Middle School girls cross country team hosted Portland Monday night, defeating the visitors 23-32. Scoring points for the Bulldogs include: Charly Smith (2nd) 16:58, Amelia McGee (3rd) 17:01, Alexa Barna (5th) 17:59, Camryn Robinson (6th) 18:20, and Tessa Masengale (7th) 18:21. More amazing performances from the Bulldogs included Emma McCarty (12) 20:05, Kennedy Batista (17th) 21:02, and Sadie Roberts (21) 24:42.

The Bulldogs will wrap up their season in St. Johns next Monday, October 12 at 5:00 pm.
