The Ionia A Volleyball Team struggled at times against the visiting Redwings of St. Johns. The first set was close. Ionia served well but seemed a bit off with their defense and serve receive. Ionia dropped the set 18-25. Ionia started the second set with a commanding lead behind the powerful serves of Amaya Frias (9 service points). The Lady Dawgs fought hard but fell just short losing the second set and the match 21-25. The Lady Dawgs seemed a bit out of sorts as they struggled to return serves. Ionia lost the third set 8-15. The loss to St. Johns brings Ionia's season record to 5-4 and Ionia will travel to Portland on Wednesday to play their final match of the season.
