The Ionia Volleyball A Team took all three sets from the visiting Portland Raiders tonight.  The 25-6 win in the first set was led by Carmen Hoppough and her 9 straight aces and one awesome block!  Brooklyn Shattuck added 3 aces and Adelsye Perry one.  The offense at the net was led by Aubree Shaw's two kills, Adelsye's 2 and Carmen's one.  Even though Ionia dominated the first set, the Bulldogs found themselves in a back and forth battle in the next two sets.  Offense was the name of the game as Aubree tallied four aces, Adelsye 3 and Brooklyn 2.  The net play would not have been possible without solid passing from Brooklyn and Adelsye, each passing 3 digs.  Carmen, Aubree and Adelsye led Ionia in assists and they also led Ionia in kills.  Overall, well rounded play from everyone.  Ionia won the second set 25-19.  The third set saw Ionia returning to the service line and securing quick points.  Adelsye recorded 5 aces and Carmen two.  Aubree and Brooklyn threw down several kills each.  Ionia finished the night with a 15-11 victory.  Ionia A Team is now 10-0 on the season and will travel to Belding Middle School to play their final match of the season.  Let's go Bulldogs!
