The Ionia Volleyball A Team came to play tonight.  The Bulldogs put on an offensive show as they took all three sets from St. Johns 25-8, 25-7, and 15-7.  Ionia had four players record aces in the first set with Brooklyn Shattuck and Adelsye Perry leading the way with 3 each.  Payton Hoppes and Carmen Hoppough each tallied 2.  At the net the Bulldogs were aggressive.  Ionia put down seven kills.  Brooklyn Shattuck had 3 and Aubree Shaw, Adelsye Perry, Claire Nash and Carmen Hoppough each had 1.  Brooklyn Shattuck continued her strong serving with eight straight aces to catapult Ionia to a commanding lead at the start of the second set.  The aces kept coming as Carmen Hoppough, 3 aces, Aubree Shaw 2 and Mollie Lemke 1 ace.  The mix of power and finesse kept St. Johns on their heals all evening.  In the third set, Aubree Shaw led the Bulldogs with 5 aces and Carmen Hoppough had two tip kills.  The ladies played a smart match tonight and improved their record to 8-0.  Ionia will travel to Waverly on Wednesday.  Let's go Bulldogs!
