FOWLERVILLE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL: 1
The Ionia A Volleyball Team went on the road and took on Fowlerville tonight. The first set was a close battle. Both teams served well and were working hard on defense. The score looked oddly familiar as Ionia won 25-23. The second set was dominated by Ionia and some very strong serving from Amaya Frias. She served 10 aces to give Ionia a commanding lead and the Lady Dawgs never looked back. Ionia worked hard to pass the ball on defense and be more offensive during the second set. The Lady Dawgs won 25-15. After winning the match in two straight sets, Ionia struggled to continue the momentum and lost 9-15. Amaya Frias finished the night with 16 service points and Ava Bowen had 7. The Ionia A Team is 4-3 on the season and will face Charlotte at home on Wednesday. Come out and support your Lady Dawgs
