The Ionia Girls 7th Grade Volleyball A Team played an exciting match against the visiting team from DeWitt.  The Lady Dawgs fell behind at the beginning of the first game but with Logan Thomas serving 9 service points (4 aces), the girls rallied to take the lead and never looked back. Ionia played solid defense and the team work was outstanding all night.  Ionia won the first game 25-13.  The solid play continued into the second game and Cora Nummer served 8 points to lead the Dawgs.  Ionia won 25-9.  The excitement rolled over into the third game as the score was tight all the way to the end.  Ionia won 16-14.  The Lady Dawgs were offensive minded tonight as several girls tallied some kills:  Kaya Clark, Logan Thomas, Ariana Frias and Amelia Griffith.  This match was a total team effort!  Well done, Ladies!  The A Team is 4-2 on the season and will travel to Eaton Rapids on Monday.  Go Blue!
