The 7th Grade A Volleyball Team played their first match of the season tonight vs. Portland. The Ionia Bulldogs struggled with serve receive and lost the first game 19-25. The Bulldogs rallied behind the strong serving of Logan Thomas, who scored 14 points on her serve, to win the second game 25-17. The third game was back and forth and the Bulldogs fought hard to tie the game at 14 - 14. The Raiders were able to win the last 2 points to win 14-16. At times the Bulldogs had good team work and strong serves and will play again on Wednesday at St. Johns. Ionia is 0-1 on the season.
