The Ionia Girls 7th Grade A Volleyball Team faced a tough Grand Ledge team tonight. All three sets were close and Ionia's defense was put to the test. The Lady Dawgs served well and stepped up their game defensively as Grand Ledge forced Ionia to cover a lot of the court. Ionia proved tough and won the first two sets 25-20, 25-21. The battle continued into the third set. It took a lot grit and some solid serving as the Lady Dawgs pushed Grand Ledge right to the very end. Ionia fell just short losing 14-16. Ionia is 4-5 on the season and will play their final match at home on Thursday against St. Johns.
