The Ionia Girls 7th Grade V Volleyball team lost a tough match tonight to DeWitt. The Lady Dawgs started out against tough serves and were challenged throughout the first set. Defensively the Dawgs held their own but DeWitt won 25-15. Ionia faired a bit better during the second set, serving well and maintaining some tough rallies. However, the Lady Dawgs lost 17-25. After two tough losses Ionia struggled to stay focused and dropped the final set 8-15. Overall Ionia served well as a team but struggled with serve receive. Ionia is 2-4 on the season and they travel to St. Johns on Wednesday.
