On Tuesday, Ionia had 4 swimmers travel to Holland for a "Last Chance Meet." This is an opportunity to improve times or swim different events from the conference meet. Volunteers offer to swim if they want one last try to swim faster before the regular season ends.
Katelyn Lamphere dropped time in both the 50 free and 100 yard backstroke.
Adah Drowne dropped 17 seconds in the 500 yard freestyle.
Kennedy Batista and Addy Lepien both swam hard.
The four swimmers put together a medley relay and dropped 5 seconds from their seed time.
Overall, it was a very successful evening in the pool.
The final meet of the season will be Friday and Saturday November 17-18. Amelia McGee will swim at Oakland University for the MHSAA Division 3 state finals.
