Ionia traveled to Eaton Rapids tonight and brought home the win, 117-47.  It was a fast night in the pool for both teams.  All swimmers supported each other and cheered for one another.  At the end of the meet, both teams cheered together.  Ionia had 27 personal best times.  The top time drops of the night were from Eily Martinez, Katelyn Lamphere, Brynn Labadie, Ella Udell, Lena Cox, Amelia McGee and Avelin McGuire.  All of the swimmers continue to work on their technique and build their strength to swim fast.

The team of Sydney Estep, Brynn Labadie, Katelyn Lamphere, and Eily Martinez took first in the 200 yard medley relay.

Amelia McGee took first in the 200 yard freestyle and 500 yard freestyle.

JoAnna Platte took first in the 50 yard freestyle and 100 yard freestyle

Eily Martinez raced hard and took first in the 100 yard butterfly.

The team of Lamphere, Addy Lepien, Platte and Martinez took first the 200 yard freestyle relay.

Sydney Estep took first in the 100 yard backstroke

The team of McGee, Labadie, Martinez and Isabelle Robinson took first in the 400 yard freestyle relay.

Ionia is now 4-0 for the season and 2-0 in the CAAC Red.

Ionia will host Charlotte on Thursday for the annual Purple Meet to benefit Ionia Community Awareness.
